to the store on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, from 12-2pm for an afternoon filled with treats – and maybe a trick or two!
Books of Wonder alumni, author and artist NEIL NUMBERMAN will introduce
Do not Build a Frankenstein, a lighthearted look at just why
you shouldn’t build your own Frankenstein monster; IZA TRAPANI will present
Haunted Party, a humorous rhyming tale about a hopping party at the haunted house of a
ghost host; illustrator TAEEUN YOO will sweep us away with
Only a Witch Can Fly, a loveable tale about a little girl who wants more than anything to be able to fly;
JOHN BECK will introduce
Monster Sleepover about all the neighborhood monsters getting together for a slumber party; lastly, EMILY ARNOLD McCULLY will terrify us
with
The Banshee about a little boy who wants the horrific creature from Gaelic folklore off his yard! Come join us for a haunting good time! And there will be
special surprises for everyone who comes in costume (including adults!). Beginning at noon the authors and illustrators will introduce their titles,
take questions from the audience, and then sign copies of their wonderful tales. Ages 5 and up. 12-2pm.
