Books of Wonder is thrilled to invite you to join us at the store on Thursday, September 10th, from 5-7pm, for the debut of this year's Carle Honors Art Auction to benefit The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. On hand to show their support of The Carle will be brilliant children's book artists MO WILLEMS, MAIRA KALMAN, GISELLE POTTER, PAUL O. ZELINSKY, DAN YACCARINO, ROSEMARY WELLS, PETER McCARTY, TED  & BETSY LEWIN,  RAUL COLON, SUSAN JEFFERS, and EMILY ARNOLD McCULLY,  who will join us for wine, cheese, and a sneak peek at eighteen original works of art donated by Chris Van Allsburg, Eric Carle, Tomie dePaola, David Wienser, Gisele Potter, Maira Kalman, David Kirk, Matthew Reinhardt, David Macaulay, and other esteemed artists. Also showcased in the display will be the first annual Carle Honors Poster, created by MO WILLEMS.
 

An online exhibit of the art that will be auctioned became available as of Tuesday, September 1st, at www.carlemuseum.org/CarleHonors -- but nothing compares to seeing this incredible art live and in-person!

And for those who wish to bid on the artwork, there will be information at the reception on September 10th on how you may do so.
