Books
of Wonder is pleased and excited
to announce that we are the first
stop on
The Ranger’s Apprentice Bus Tour,
on Wednesday, September 2nd,
from 2-4pm, to celebrate the
publication of
The
Siege of Macindaw,
the sixth title in the Ranger's
Apprentice series.
The
Ranger’s Apprentice Bus Tour
is a wonderfully theatrical,
alternatively authorless launch
party, specially created for the
American fans of this hit series.
Beginning at 2pm, three actors from
New York’s very own
STRIKING
VIKING STORY PIRATES
acting troupe will perform
electrifying scenes from
Escape
to Araluen, a stage
performance based on Australian
author John Flanagan’s first book in
the
Ranger’s
Apprentice series,
The
Ruin’s of Gorlan.
Following the performance, there
will be a book signing by the actors
where fans will receive a special
Escape from Araluen
stamp and
an official
Ranger’s
Apprentice oak leaf pin with book
purchase. Ages 8 and up. 2-4pm.
The
Ranger’s Apprentice
series by John Flanagan tells of
fifteen-year-old Will, who, like
most young men, wanted nothing more
then to become a warrior. Instead,
he is recruited to become the
Ranger’s Apprentice, and assist in
scouting out the plans of the enemy.
Though uncertain at first about his
new role, he has come to learn that
the Ranger plays a vital part in the
ongoing struggle against the
villainous Lord of the Mountains of
Rain and Night. As the epic battle
to stop the enemy draws nigh, Will
realizes that the role of the
Ranger’s Apprentice has greater
importance, excitement, action, and
danger then he ever could have
imagined.
