Books of Wonder
is proud to announce that from July 1st
through August 30th, 2010 that
our windows will highlight a special animated
display created and installed by celebrated
artist
CYNTHIA VON BUHLER -- author and artist of
But Who Will Bell the Cats?
This elaborate, handcrafted design will feature
original art and moving pieces, so be sure to
stop by and check it out.
CYNTHIA VON BUHLER
will also be presenting three very special
workshops for the
creation of Paper Dolls and Dollhouse Dioramas.
On July 25th and 26th from
12-2 pm and on July 27th from 6-8pm,
CYNTHIA
VON BUHLER
will be on hand with materials such as
pre-printed full-color sheets of characters and
castle rooms for children to cut out and make
into their own dollhouse diorama. To
participate, children need to bring with them
a standard size shoebox and a parent or
guardian to assist them.
Characters from
But Who Will Bell the
Cats?
will make an appearance at the events and will
give away free bells on ribbon for children to
wear around their necks (as long as supplies
last).
CYNTHIA VON BUHLER
will help in the creation of the dollhouse
dioramas and paper dolls and will sign copies of
her books at each of the workshops.
The workshop is free with
purchase of one book by Cynthia von Buhler.
Space is limited to 30 children per workshop.
