Books of Wonder
is pleased to announce a celebration of fathers
and Father’s Day with a great event featuring a
number of wonderful books about dads! On Sunday
June 13th, the week before Father’s
Day, we are delighted to welcome FIVE
artists and authors who will present their
wonderful books about dads of all kinds. On hand
will be author
KELLY BENNETT who will introduce her
books
Dad and
Pop: An Ode to Fathers & Stepfathers
and
Your
Daddy Was Just Like You,
two great stories of why fathers are so
important to us all; artist
STEPHEN SAVAGE
will read
The
Father’s Are Coming Home by
Margaret Wise Brown, a salute to dads of all
kinds – human, insects, birds, and mammals;
illustrator
MARCELLUS HALL will share
Because I’m Your Daddy,
which shows just how much dads love their
kids; Books of Wonder’s own
PETER GLASSMAN
and artist
TIMOTHY BUSH will present
My Dad’s Job,
a look at what really happens when dad
goes to work. Beginning at 1pm, these wonderful
authors and illustrators will introduce their
books, take questions from the audience, sign
copies of all their titles and celebrate the day
set aside for honoring fathers. Ages 2 and up.
1-3pm.
