KAREN HEALEY on Thursday, June 3rd.
The author, currently a graduate student in
Australia, has had her first book,
Guardian of the Dead,
enthusiastically welcomed by such authors as
Holly Black, Cassandra Clare, Scott Westerfeld,
Justine Larbalestier, and Libba Bray. Please
join us as KAREN
HEALEY presents
Guardian of the Dead, the
tale of 17-year-old Ellie Spencer, an ordinary
teen going to an ordinary boarding school in New
Zealand. She hangs out with her best friend,
Kevin; obsesses over her crush on a mysterious
bad boy; and worries about getting her paper in
on time. Then everything changes. For in the
foggy woods near the school, something ancient
and deadly is lurking… Beginning at 6pm,
KAREN HEALY
will present
Guardian of the Dead, take
questions from the audience, and then sign
copies of her book. Light refreshments will be
served. Ages 12-up. 6-8pm.
