Please join us on Tuesday, April 6th as we celebrate with illustrator JASON CHIN and writer DWIGHT JON ZIMMERMAN the publication of their powerful new book, The Day The World Exploded: The Earthshaking Catastrophe at Krakatoa. Adapted from Simon Winchester’s best-selling book, Krakatoa, it vividly captures the earth-shattering events of 125 years ago when the volcano island of of Krakatoa was destroyed in a catastrophic eruption. The immense tsunami caused by that eruption killed more than thirty thousand people, its effects being felt as far away as France and Zimbabwe. Illustrator JASON CHIN and writer DWIGHT JON ZIMMERMAN will give a reading and presentation, answer questions from the audience, and then sign copies of their book. Light refreshments will be served. Recommended for ages 7-12. 6 – 7:30pm
