Books of Wonder
is tremendously proud to announce that on
Sunday, May 2nd, from 1 to 3pm, we
will be hosting an extraordinary event featuring
EIGHT of this year’s award-winning
authors and artists in children’s books,
including the 2010 winners of the Caldecott
Medal, Newbery Medal, Printz Award,
and Geisel Award! That’s
right – all 4 winners of this year’s most prized
American children’s book awards will be together
at Books of Wonder! Joining us will be
JERRY PINKNEY,
the 2010 Caldecott Medal winner for
The Lion and the Mouse,
an incredible interpretation of the Aesop fable
with lush, majestic illustrations;
REBECCA STEAD,
the 2010 Newbery Medal winner for
When You Reach Me,
a brilliant tale about a sixth-grade New
York girl who receives a series of odd notes
which seem to imply her involvement in horrible
accident that has yet to happen;
LIBBA BRAY,
the 2010 Printz Award winner for
Going Bovine,
a brilliant and gripping adventure story about a
sixteen-year-old boy who, when told he has a

EIGHT exceptional talents will introduce
their wonderful titles, take questions from the
audience, and then sign copies of all their
spectacular works! All ages. 1-3pm.
