Come meet 10 extraordinary artists on Saturday, May 2nd from noon to 2pm as we celebrate the debut of this landmark children's book, Our Children Can Soar. This beautifully illustrated book celebrates the contributions and struggles of such great African-Americans as George Washington Carver, Jessie Owens, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Thurgood Marshall, and Barack Obama through the inspiring art of 13 of today's most gifted African-American artists. Beginning at noon, each of the 10 artists will speak about their participation in creating this exciting book, then answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their wonderful titles. Ages 4-8. 12-2pm.
