Books of Wonder
is pleased
to announce that on Saturday, May 1st,
from noon-2pm, we will be hosting an event
featuring THREE great authors for teens
and tweens. Award-winning, bestselling author
DANIEL
EHRENHAFT
will
introduce us to a high school rebel with more up
her sleeves than meets the eye in
That’s Life, Samara
Brooks;
RAINA
TELGEMEIER
will
regale us with a semi-autobiographical,
coming-of-age graphic novel about sixth-grade
Raina trying to cope with a mouth full or
braces, a retainer with fake teeth, confusion
regarding boys, and much, much more in
Smile;
and National Book Award Finalist and
E.B. White Award winner
DEBORAH WILES
will take
us back to 1962 where twelve-year-old Franny
Chapman lives in D.C., and must cope with the
national fears surrounding the Cuban Missile
Crisis in
Countdown.
Beginning at noon, these three authors will
introduce their titles, take questions from the
audience, and then sign copies of all their
great teen and tween reads. Ages 10 and up.
12-2pm.
