Join us on Saturday, March 29th as Caldecott Honor artists TED & BETSY LEWIN present their beautiful new book, Horse Song: The Naadam of Mongolia. Inspired by their own journey to the wilds of Mongolia, the Lewins have created an exciting tale about a young Mongolian jockey and his adventures as he prepares for and participates in the Naadam – the Mongolian summer festival in which many boys and girls race half-wild horses across the open desert, each hoping to win honor and glory. We are thrilled to be able to host husband-and-wife authors and artists TED & BETSY LEWIN for a publication party in honor of this wonderful book. Starting at noon, the Lewins will talk about their visit to Mongolia, how they came to create Horse Song, and present some of the props and artifacts they brought home from Asia and were used in the making of the book. The author/artists will then take questions from the audience before signing copies of all their titles. Light refreshments will be served during the signing portion of the event. 12-2pm.
