1:00 - 4:00pm
Please join us on Saturday, March 7th at 1:00pm for a
very special launch event for
Blueberry Girl,
a new picture book by New York Times best-selling
author and 2009 Newbery Medalist
NEIL GAIMAN
and Will Eisner and World Fantasy Award winning artist
CHARLES VESS.
Having collaborated on the World Fantasy Award-winning
Sandman comic and the World Fantasy Award-winning
graphic novel, Stardust,
NEIL GAIMAN
and
CHARLES VESS
have once again collaborated to create their first
picture book together, a stunning, poetic journey,
Blueberry Girl.
Beginning at 1pm,
NEIL GAIMAN
will read
Blueberry Girl,
after which
CHARLES VESS
will give a slide show presentation on the creation of
the artwork for this gorgeous picture book. Then, both
author and artist will answer questions from the
audience. Following this, they will both sign copies of
Blueberry Girl
and all their other wonderful books. A portion of all
sales of
Blueberry Girl
made at the event will go to
RAINN, the nation's
largest organization devoted to preventing violence
against women and assisting the victims of such attacks.
