of Wonder is very pleased to
announce that on Thursday, February
25th, from 5-7pm, author
PHIL
BILDNER will be on hand
for a publication party for his
latest picture book,
The
Hallelujah Flight,
illustrated by John Holyfield.
In this inspiring tale, James
Banning, an African American pilot,
along with his mechanic and
co-pilot, Thomas Allen, decide to
fly across the entire country
to inspire a nation disheartened by
the Great Depression. Beginning
at 5pm,
PHIL
BILDNER will introduce
his new book, take questions from
the audience, and then sign copies
of all his great titles. Joining him
will be some of his former students
and other young people who have
traveled with
PHIL
BILDNER to New Orleans to
assist with the rebuilding of the
city following Hurricane Katrina.
These talented young people will be
performing music and spoken word
poetry. Among those giving live
performances will be

SALVATION BAND,
VIVA
MAYDAY,
EMILY
CARPENTER,
JAKE FEINMAN,
MAX GUDE,
MAY
LAWRENCE,
SPENCER TULLIS, and many
others! All ages – especially teens
and pre-teens. 5-7pm.
