Books of Wonder
is pleased to welcome
author, artist, and puppeteer
GRACE CHANG
to our store on Saturday, February 6th,
from 12-2pm to introduce her latest
title,
Jin Jin and Rain Wizard.
In this clever tale stooped in
Chinese lore, Jin Jin, a young
Chinese boy, over-stuffs himself at
a rice festival and even throws some
of his unfinished rice away - the
ultimate no-no! Old Turtle, a dear
friend of Jin Jin, recognizes his
friend doesn't know better and
decides to send him back in time to
meet with the Rain Wizard to learn
important lessons regarding the
importance of rice, the sin of
waste, and the secret, mystical
power of water-breathing. Beginning
at noon,
GRACE CHANG
will introduce her title through a
dramatic storytelling -- complete
with puppets and illusions, take
questions from the audience, and
then sign copies of her two books
about Jin Jin. Ages 3-8. 12-2pm.
