On Saturday, May 11th, 9 picture books authors and illustrators -- all with new book published by Abrams Books for Young Readers -- join us for an afternoon event perfect for the entire family. Join us beginning at noon, as NY Times bestselling author MICHAEL BUCKLEY shares his fearless first picture book, the hilarious Ken Gilligan's Daredevil Stunt Show; author TONYA BOLDEN and illustrator GILBERT FORD take us on a musical sightseeing tour of NYC with 12 Days of New York; author and illustrator KAY CHORAO shares Bad Boy, Good Boy, a fun story which deals with the struggles of being young and misunderstood; debut picture book author and artist MATT LUCKHURST introduces Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, a retelling of the great American Tall Tale; debut author SUSAN VERDE and NY Times bestselling illustrator PETER REYNOLDS take us for a trip to The Museum, their wonderful ode to the power of art and each child's unique creative process; award winning illustrator YUKO SHIMIZU knocks it out of the park with Barbed Wire Baseball, the true story of a baseball dream during WWII; and author NANCY VIAU jumps out of the nest with Look What I Can Do, the rhyming story of baby animal's firsts.
